Extreme Winter Weather Information for Veterans

We understand that your area may be impacted by extreme winter weather. Please know that VA is here for you. Please see the helpful information below and stay safe!

  • Due to the conditions, we recommend you call your facility before driving to an appointment to confirm status.Check the status and operating hours of your local VA facility here.
  • In the event of an emergency, please call 911.
  • If you need VA assistance, please call us at 1-800-MyVA411(1-800-698-2411) and press 0 to speak with someone immediately.
  • For assistance regarding homelessness, please call: 1-877-4AID-VET (1-877-424-3838).
  • Are you a Veteran in crisis or concerned about one? Please call 988 and press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line.

If you have non-urgent questions, you can reach VA through the VA Health & Benefits App or My HealtheVet secure messaging to schedule an appointment, refill prescriptions and access your medical records.
