Eric Rohleder was appointed Deputy Director of the Kansas Office of Veterans Services in March 2019. As Deputy Director he leads the Veteran Services Program, the State Approving Agency, and Veterans Claims Assistance Program Advisory Board. Eric began his career with the agency in 2008 as a veteran services representative assigned to the Hays Field Office. He has held the positions of Western Kansas Field Services Program Supervisor, Mobile Office Operations Supervisor, Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery Director, Chief Information Technology Officer, and Administrative Officer. Mr. Rohleder enlisted in the Air Force in 1985 and completed 21 years of service retiring as a Master Sergeant. He began his military career as a security forces member and spent 16 years as an Intelligence Specialist with assignments at all levels of command in the United States and abroad. His deployments included Operation Deny Flight, Operation Deliberate Force, Operation Northern Watch, and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Originally from Hays, Eric received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Bellevue University and his Master of Business Administration from Baker University. Additionally, he received a Certificate of Public Management from the University of Kansas Public Management Center’s Certified Public Manager program.
Eric has two remarkable adult children from his previous marriage, who are both married. Eric is married to Casey Kelch and together they have a 12-year-old daughter.
